I am trying to import, modify and render dpx files through AE 7. I have worked with cineon files in the past using eLin.
Using AE 7's new color profile mangement etc I have had success importing, modifying and exporting dpx files from AE that 'seem' correct but I am not 100% sure about my process. Using my prior knowledge, the great series of tutorials from Stu Maschwitz on his Prolost blog, as well as the information in Mark Christian's new Studio Techniques for AE7 I think I have developed a process that works.
However all this information is based on vid files in linear space, HDR files in linear space, or cineon Kodak film files. Nothing I have read directly addresses dpx files and if the Linear Adobe RGB and sRGB are the correct way to manage the color profile for these files or if I should use the Kodak 5218 preset in AE (which does NOT look correct). I imagine I could use my own custom settings but fail to know how to setup it properly in interpret footage even when I know the film stock.

All this rambling aside. Does anyone have hints, insights or an example of their dpx pipeline in AE?

I can explain more of my process if need be, but it is similar to the sources I mentioned.
