Title: Blind Dates and Naked Ogres
Name: Branko Bistrovic
Country: Canada
Software: Painter, Photoshop
Yet another from the portfolio,
This piece came about while discussing something with a friend and absently doodling. Sort of a happy accident. I then worked it up in Photoshop with a hard-edged circular brush and went in for a few different textural measures.
A little bit of Painter in there too, can't live without the Painter.

The title hints at a humorous backstory, and I like that. It makes a difference than a standard 'warrior vs ogre' statement.
Other than that, it's really nicely made. Good work on the forms, lighting and texture.

I like the ogre a lot, the lighting is handled nicely. However the direction and effect of the light on the warrior seems inconsistent. The direction of his shadow would imply a light hitting him from the opposite direction of that of the ogre. A possible explanation could be the light is above them and between them, but the highlights on the warrior don't support this.

Very cool. I agree with Funkytown a bit, but my eye just keeps going to the big guys head so it doesn't bother me too much. Nice work.

Hi Branko, maybe have I dementia and/or am I stupid/blind too, BUT: I do not understand the position/anatomy of left arm/sword...
The sumo-ogre ( :) ) is great, superb lighted and painted
