Atmospherics Plug-In to Debut for Mac OS X and Windows
Versions in Q1 2003!

January 16, 2003. Beaverton, OR. e-on software announces Ozone
2.0 for Cinema 4D, its plugin for adding ultra-natural animated
atmospheric effects to Maxon Computer’s flagship product, Cinema
4D.

"e-on software’s Ozone technology is the perfect solution for
creating both realistic and surreal atmospheres in Cinema 4D. It’s
an incredible time saver with breathtaking results," said Maxon
Computer president Harald Egel.

Following the release of other e-on software products such as Vue
d’Esprit 4, e-on software will simultaneously release Ozone 2.0 for
Cinema 4D for both the Windows and Macintosh OS X platforms.

"Maxon Computer is well known for its responsive and rapid
support of new technologies, so we are happy that we can support
their new Cinema 4D release 8 on Mac OS X as well as the
Windows version," said Nicholas Phelps, president of e-on software.

Some of the features of Ozone 2.0 for Cinema 4D include:
-A complete, volumetric atmosphere system
-e-on software’s highly optimized, fast-rendering technology.
-Ozone volumetric system for simulating the interaction of light and
air
-Rapid creation of animated clouds and sunsets
-Over 100 atmospheric presets based on real world and "other
world" locations

Ozone 2.0 for Cinema 4D is comprised of 4 different plug-ins: a
Master plug-in , an Image filter plug-in, a Pixel filter plug-in and a
Shader plug-in, allowing users to fine tune the included presets or
generate entirely new atmospheres.

Ozone 2.0 for Cinema 4D will be released in spring 2003 at an
estimated price of $249.

Sweet! That's practically in my backyard. Seriously about 5 minutes from my house. I may have to stop over and pay them a visit. Thanks Adam for the heads up!

Well, I would suggest e-on's Vue d'Esprit for landscapes for its interactive editor which is very good. Tried exporting terrain maps myself, and it worked great!

It's a shame that it doesn't also export trees... maybe if they get enough requests, they'll add their SolidGrowth engine to Ozone :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Yes, that would be an excellent idea, and also include the terrain editor...then Cinema would be a very cool landscape program in addition to what it already is :applause:
