hello,

i'm going to animate a little fight between a man and a woman,
and i want to know how i can simulate or animate the movement of the fat or the flesh of the woman's breasts or the belly of a fat guy, so that everything "bounces" correctly.

I'm using 3D Studio Max 5.
Do i need a plugin or special script for that.

hope you understand what i mean.

Thanks

bye

Max 5 has reactor built into it. I think you would need to use softbodies or something like that.

yes, I just found out that the FLEX-modifier would do that quite good.:bounce:

But it would be good to know how the professionals are doing this.

Thanks for the reply

Hi minimi13,

I have a bit of reactor experience and dont think you can simulate the jiggly belly or boobs with Reactor soft body , not without a "LOT" of stuffing around, and even then it will probably be buggy.

I have just set up a jiggling belly for a character of mine , ( using Max5 ) , I just made a morph target for "belly down" - soft selected some verts on the belly and moved them down to an extremely saggy gut position , then just hand key with the spinner when a bit of jiggle is required .

Good luck , hope this helps .

Ben.

benjicon:

Thanks for the advice.

Using morph targets was actually the first method that came into my mind, but I just wanted to asked if there are some special(maybe easier) ways to simulate this kind of movement.

any other idea would be great...and if not, then it looks like there are no other ways to do it.

Bye
