i have a problem i have maked a character than i have maked a cylindrical mapping on the whole objekt!
than i have maked a snapshot und worked on it in photoshop now i have a textur!
but how can i bring the textur on the model?? if i make a right-click!
->materials ->assign new material......
the textur is on the model but with wrong cordinats and i cannot see the textur in the uv texture editor only the cylindrical uvs..!
please help me!

Ok,
First off, if you're uv's are assigned to the object you should just have to assign the material to the object, if its not being mapped correctly, then you mapped it incorrectly to begin with. to get your texture to show up in your UV texture editor go to "image -> display image". I dont know if this helps, i'm not really sure what you want though...

i have selected the whole model maked a cylindrical mapping
and add a texture(lambert) to the whole model!
the texture is on the model but not correct without cordinates!
and if i select the model i can see the cylindrical objekt in the window but not the texture in the background.
i can do what i want i cant get the texture to the aktual
uv cylindrical cordinates..
sorry with window i mean uv texture editor!

hey,
you do remember to hit 6 to activate openGL texture display, do you?
my problem was i had to uvs for this objekt
