Hi

I have a "little" problem- just before Christmas one of our laptops failed to start Maya.
It starts, going trough the initializing phase, after a while, coming to the "initializing time slider"- the Maya windows disapears and the script editor pop up. There it say //error:object´s name is not unique: shelflayout la01048 //

I do not manage to go on from there. I have tried to reinnstall the software, and the aw file. Nothing seems to help.

Anyone heard about this?

thank you!

Your preferences are probably corrupt. Move them out of your "My Documents" folder so maya will create new ones.

Or you can just go into
myDocuments/maya/prefs/scripts/shelves and delete the corrupted file shelflayout la01048.
