I have multicolor coloured transparent Glass for a window in my scene.
Now I want the sunrays passing through the glass to change color according to the color on the glass by which it passes on the other side of the window.
I have used a spot light with volume lights applied to it & raytrace shadows for simulating sunlight.
But I m not getting the results I want the volume it simply passes the glass but doesnot change the color of rays, however the shadow cast by the light is coloured according to the multicoloured transparent glass.
How could I get those coloured rays.

hey dipesh..they say "perception is reality", why dont u cheat? jus manually animate the color setting of the volume light depending on which colored glass its passing thru, tho i really dont have a straightforward answer to your question...but im jus gonna try out what ur tryin to achieve, seems interesting..are u making any stained glass used in churches? jus curios...cheers mate

are you refering to atmospheric scattering (fog or dust using the parti_volume_photon shader) ?

Im not 100 percent sure on this, but i am almost positive that you can apply a map to the spot light that looks exactly like your colored window, and that should do the trick
