View Full Version : Cartoon Fox Soldier Character. WIP
WMBrown 06-29-2006, 07:48 PM Inspired by an event last night i went to (to show my portfolio) and getting a huge dose of humility (the good kind) i've decided to crank out this character to show a company how much i want a job that they were looking for... (the other character i'm working on is currently on hold while i do this one)
emphasis is on speed and keeping it appealing (and on model)
Critiqes are Highly encouraged.
Total Time spent, roughly 5 hours.
is that a good speed to aim for or should i be faster at this?

More work on it today, if i get the hands and feet done today, i'll be able to start on the clothing tomorrow.

I'm no pro, but I really like what you did. The character itself looks cool and the modelling seems to be nicely done. Good luck with the job :)

Thank you, Progress comes along (doing the hands atm.) I wonder if someone from there is watching :P

Modeled most of the hands and made some tweaking of the face (set the eyes a little narrower and adjusted some of the flow along the jaw)
i realise that i may not have to model the hands as hands though since she's supposed to be wearing cartoony gloves.... whoops :P (bah, it's practise anyway)

Progress has slowed a little bit, i'm not digging the hands so i'll redo them after some more practise... the boots still need some detailing like the gromets and laces as well as some more edges in some places to help it hold the geometry after smoothing, but i'm actually kinda happy with how they coming along.
Crits are more than welcome, trash it up, please! :D (how else am i going to learn?)
