Neat. I'd have put a little more work on the material on the characters, but I don't know if that was the point.

Very nice, i like the composition and the idea behind it, very creative. a little work on the characters. In my opinion they looka bit to "shiny"

good man.

I really enjoyed it. Camera work is great, editing is fantastic. I liked the compositing very much. I've got 2 things:

1) the animation needs work. The blue/fat guys walk was great, but the acting seemed stiff on both characters
2) the shot where he shows the map: I would've seen it more OTS between both characters. would show more aof a complicity between them.

my 2 cents.

About a minute too long in my opinion. The Music doesn't match the short at the end especialy since it's been used for the rest of the reel. By the time you show the whole animation, we've seen it all already anyways. Maybe just show a couple of shot breakdowns and not all of them.

That is exellent! The composition element is outstanding. You should consider making professional movies...not little Demo reels!

19? Well, I'm 23 and all I can say is that you have a bright future ahead of you!
If you can do it, take that film making course. Thats a sure fire way of getting some job in the industry - getting your foot in the door is your most important priority as of now...

My advice is to make a short film, although your Demo-reel was very good! I can never hope to match you're skill, but I'm just going ahead and making a small two minute film about a young female-wizard in training. You will find that making a story script, restricting yourself to getting that needed shot pushes you to your limit. And that In return gives you the required education that you need.

And judging by your demo reel, you shouldn't have too much problem with that...

Hey boone,

Thank you for the advice, and wonderful feedback!

I am definatly going to make a short sometime in the near future, i am sure the experiances that come with working under a script and timeframe are invalueable.

thanks again!!!

Nate,
Excellent work. The compositing is wonderful and well displayed. I agree that I would not have shown all the shots from the "The Plan". I would have shown just a few. But the overall reel is good. The characters do need alittle work, but I know that's not your focus. GREAT JOB!

I liked it, but I wouldn't have used a bathroom. See, of all the rooms in your whole house, the bathroom is probably the easiest to model in 3d. It might even be easier than trying to composite it out. I think it would be far far more impressive in a cluttered bedroom or garage or some such. Something that is OBVIOUSLY not a 3D model. I mean, at parts during this scene, everything is SO CLEAN, I forget that it's composited, ya know??

Other than that, pretty good work!

Very cool work. I watch the demoreel 20 times - This explain the delay... :scream:

Acutully the backroom was one of the hardest rooms in the house to composite in, a cluttered bedroom would have more things to track, and more depth which would make matchmoves alot eaiser, also having the tile floor in the bathroom makes even the slightest pixel slip noticable to anyone.

Thank you for the feedback!
