Hi,
here's a few models I'm working with. Critics and comments are always welcome.

action hero : 8000 triangles 2x512 maps

hmm the first character does not appear to have the amount of detail you would expect from 8000 triangles.

Textures are quite plain too.

The action hero looks suspiciously like Snake Plissken to me. On top of that, I can't tell where the 8000 tri's went. It doesn't look to be that detailed.

agree with comments above.

and for 8k tris id use a bit more texture space (1024*)

Thanx for the comments.
I removed some polys and the tri count is now 5676. All the textures are wips, so expect some changes.

you got a pretty good likeness there

but the there are issues with the texture (i know its wip) first the beard is ok but far too sonsistant, and looks a bit like fur. beard is made from much coarser hair, so expect to see single strands, beard hair (even sort) is rarely straight aswell so make it curl in the right directions.

also the bags under the eyes are wrong, they should link with the crows feet which should be about 1/1.5cm from corner of eye

You seem to have a lot of verts in the head (especially the hair) that aren't needed.

Thanx Flewda for the comment. I'm going to remove all the unneeded verts from the hair and clean the body too.

The clavicale/neck area looks strange, the trapizous muscles wrap around to the back of the neck. It looks like they are connected to the sides right now. And that seam could use some work as well

The sides of the torso right near the armpit are out too far. Forearms look like they're broken and bending down instead of straight.

What material are his shin guards supposed to be made out of? The pants need to look more cloth-like(folds, etc).

If you're going for the cartoony look, the jaw looks okay. However, it does seem a little wide.
He should probably look a little angrier and/or menacing but that's up to you.
(And if its Snake Plissken he needs his bitchin sidearm with the scope..)
