View Full Version : Viewing multiple compositions?
andytroz 06-29-2006, 04:32 AM I have 2 views open but I'd like to change them so that I see 2 different compositions. Right now when I click on a composition BOTH of the cameras change to that comp.
How would I do this?

If you're using version 7 there are a few things to point out. 3D camera views are separate to comp view windows. ie. you can have a 2 up or 4 up 3d view in one comp window. If you want to view multiple compositions (in v7) then lock the views with the padlock in the comp view title bar and select the comps you want to view from the pop-up. Or lock one view, then focus (click) on the second view, then select a new timeline tab. Then you can toggle between tabbed timelines. Sounds a bit unintuitive but you get it after a while. Not as good as Shake but seems better than Combustion.
If you are on a pre-v7 AE, the easiest way to do it is probably to separate (un-tab) the timelines as well.
