Hi y'all
this is a WIP of a Sherman M4A4, it is almost near completion, it has to be put into a 'scene' as it were, a 'bocage-villiers type diorama' would do nicely to add a sense of scale. Also I would like to work on a tank crew to add more drama.

Any comments would be appreciated, I am a fairly new user and this is the first model which I have been happy to show and which I have worked on the texture as much as the modelling, although I realise the texture needs more work to be resolved.

p.s sad news about SLA

cheers

That's looking really nice, It looks a bit like a realtime tank (ie a but low poly) bu the mesh is really tidy.

I think maybe some work on lighting would change the look.

yep, looking good. Needs more polys around some edges... Cinema is 'oversmoothing' some parts.

Hi y'all
is there any way around this oversmoothing, apart from changing the angle on the smoothing tags. I know if i use hypernurbs I have more control over vertex weights however a tank lends itself well to fairly low poly modelling i.e sharp rhomboid edges. Do you think more bevels?

I will also work on the lighting.

Nice! I agree with the other comments. Also, maybe add some thickness to the tarp on the back to make it stand out a little. Maybe there's some texture stretching on the turret? Hard to tell with the small image.
