I decided to try and model a game character, and rather than going through the hassle of designing my own character, I'm having a go at Hatake Kakashi (http://www.animegalleries.net/album/772) from the anime series Naruto. I don't really like his usual outfit so I'm modelling him in the ANBU uniform.
After I've finished the low-poly mesh in Maya I'm planning to sculpt a detailed version in ZBrush and then make a normal map from it.
I'm aiming for around 6500 triangles, the mesh is currently about 8000 triangles but I had to add some loops to make it smooth properly in ZBrush. I can get rid of that extra detail later.
I haven't done much modelling before so any comments and tips are welcome!
