Hello was just wondering,
Is photoshop as important in maya as it is in 3dsmax?
I do feel stupid asking this one, however the reason I ask is that a little birdy told me that maya has a built in 3d painting program in it. Just crossing over from max to maya, and haven't got fair enough into it yet to figure this one out for myself.

you can use paint fx ( in maya ),
but photoshop is much more powerful
