Summary of Position:
Pixar Consumer Products seeks a Producer to join our team. This position is responsible for managing the execution of the game development process with third party gamepublishers/developers to produce high quality games based on our feature film properties. The Producer is also responsible for coordinating input from internal film productions regarding design and artistic direction to ensure product innovation and quality. This is a pivotal role involving extensive coordination and communication with internal film productions, Buena Vista Games (BVG), and licensed third party game publishers/developers. We view the interactive games as an extension of the consumer’s experiences with our films, and our products must reflect the authenticity of the brands.
We are looking for a creative individual who has a passion for games and has demonstrated success in translating entertainment properties into high quality games. The ideal candidate must be exceedingly well organized and has strong attention to details. The ideal candidate should also possess excellent communication skills, be an effective relationship builder and team player, and be able to multi-task at various levels.
Responsibilities:
• Accountable for managing project needs to meet game production schedules
• Work with internal film production teams to obtain art resources and deliver graphic assets to third party game publishers for the games
• Liaise with internal film production team to obtain Director’s creative approvals
• Maintain strong relationships with third party game publishers/developers and BVG to ensure clear communication on all elements of development
• Ensure the completion of specific features of a game by managing available resources
• Work closely with the third party game publisher/developer and BVG to drive approvals process and milestone reviews
• Liaise between game team and marketing/PR team, and collaborate with other functions (QA, localization, technical team, legal, finance, etc.)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in fine art, computer art, or relevant work experience
• At least 5 years experience in the interactive gaming industry in a leadership/project management; experiences with family entertainment properties strongly preferred
• Experience managing either internal or external development teams
• Proven ability to work under rapid development cycles and manage multiple priorities
• Self-managing, able to effectively run with the responsibilities with minimal hand-holding
