I'm having a problem with texturing. This isn't like the ones I've read on the board. It's kinda different in the sense that I want my textures to tile, but in a different way each time. I modeled a simple wall, but I want to put blood stains and scratches on the wall. I went into photoshop and created my own dirty, bloody wall. The image size for this texture is 2700 X 1800 pixels. I don't know if this is too big nor not. When I slap on the texture into my wall(btw I'm using 3ds max 8) I get a repeating texture that is very noticable. I want it to be unoticable.
I'm attaching a jpeg to give you a better idea. One is of the wall I'm trying to texture and the other is the actual image I created in photoshop.
How can I correct this problem??
