Hi!

I tried the tutorial "How to modell a helmet" and when I trimmed the "projected curve-on surface" I got this weird looking product.
Problem (http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h177/kackarsch/Problem.jpg)

At first I thought I did it wrong. Re-did it. Naa, that wasn't the case. Then maybe the smoothness level was to low. It wasn't that neither.

So I checked the render. Well, it came up with this.

Ok, so I know that everything I did is fine. But it's hard to work on an image looking that weird.

Anybody an idea??

Thx in advance,

What is your smooth level set to? ie try picking the surface and pressing '3'

Thats what I meant... I pressed 3.. hundreds of times. I think I broke it... nah, I didn't. ;)

It's not a bug. Select the object and in the Attribute Editor, switch on Tesselation -> Display Render Tessellation. Maya uses a low quality viewport display for NURBS objects to keep the interactivity high. You can check the wireframe to verify that your object is shaped correctly.
