Just found that on aintitcoolnews.com

Wish I could be there! The first five screenings are in Austin, Los Ageles, New York, Chicago and Minneapolis-St.Paul
Looks like an awesome movie, finally something different compared to all the talking animals!

Can't freaking wait!!

I really had a good feeling about this film......I'm glad to see the first review come out so positive. Nice.

that's not a review - just a hopeful. Not a fan of AICN.

But I'm looking forward to this, too.

i second that... also think monster house looks cool. Im still not a big fan of the whole "performance capture" thing. If the eyes and facial come out looking like polar im going to be highly disapointed. Idea sounds great and story looks spooky fun. Although nothings spookier than mocap faces.

I couldn't agree more. I think it looks much better on "MH" than it did on "Polar," though. That movie was supposed to be a Christmas story, yet wound up just being a creep-fest, due to the faces.

I'm excited for the film, and though I'm not a big fan of AICN either, when I read comparisons from anyone to "The Goonies," "Explorers," and "Stand By Me," I get excited.

Just saw tonight's Ebert & Roeper where they did an early review of Monster House. "Two thumbs way up!" is the verdict. Ebert even went on to say that it's the best animated movie of the summer (yes, even better than Doc Holl...err...Cars) and Monster House should get a nod for an Oscar nomination. One disclaimer mentioned is the movie should not be seen by kids under the age of 10 or 11 due to some very "frightening" scenes.

Looks promising!

Although if you're attending the VES Festival you'll get to see it a couple days before on July 8.

edit: thought that the music was Danny Elfman, but nope. Sounded like him though.

I saw that review and its certainly made me interested in the movie.

Did you notice that this is one of the rare 3D movies coming out this year that did not involve a cute furry animal (Cars being the other one)?
