i`m sure, most of you know, that its possible, to not only enter absolute values in the channel box like ty= "10" , but also reöative values like ty = "+=10" , which adds 10 units in y to the selected objects.

is it also possible, to use functions like
ty = "+=rand(10)" when i want to add a random value between 0 and 10 to my selected objects, or do i have to use a mel command in the command line?

i tried it first and it did not work. that`s the reason, why i asked the forum. i was wondering, if perhaps i used the wrong syntax

was hoping you could do this too, but you cant as far as my experimentatn went. you can in the attrb ed fields, but it does this by creating an expression, which you can just RMB kill after you harvested result tho (guess the happy bonus in this is that you can slide till you find a happy result, tho thats mildly contra in the case of a rand expressn!). anybody know if we're missing a syntax for channel box? (like xsi), or expressionless entry of expressns/functions for attribEd?
