hushrock 06-26-2006, 03:55 AM I want to make a photorealistic render. Here is my work. how do you all think about it? Is there any things to improve so that it look photorealistic?

i think this already look quite OK. something that might give a bit more realism to it is a greater contrast. you would achieve this by tweaking the light decay, so that the areas at the window become birghter and the opposite area of the room becomes darker. that's something that also helps to create a better focus on a certain area.

it's still nearly the same, i'd say. the lighting really looks well and balanced but the picture lacks some specific focus. it could be useful to render from another view. did you try already?
you also might want to post this in the WIP forums, i think you can get better attention there and more people to join in the discussion.
edit:
looking again at it, i think it's looking quite good :)

Your probably better posting in the work in progress forum, you will get alot bigger response. Saying that, would be nice to have somewhere to post lighting focsused work.
What might be nice is darkening the pillows. Because they are so white, you loose quite alot of the form, which the objects around it have. Im not saying its wrong, this is just more of a personal thing. Very nice image though.
Might be nice to try it under different lighting conditions too.

You need something ouytside the window instead of just black. You could map an HDRI onto a sphere or a plane and put it out there, or just a super-bright blue plane would be better than black. Otherwise it feels very good.
