Title: Queen of Eden Vale
Name: Kevin Richter
Country: United Kingdom
Software: Painter
Hey everybody,
This is the Queen character from one of the personal projects that I am working on. This was painted in Painter. I have been a Photoshop user for many years but am really enjoying Painter now and will be doing many more works in it.
The project that I am working on is planned as a 3d graphic novel, but that might change in the future, depending on how long its all taking me.
Comments are most welcome. Thank you.

i have no idea how those legs are connected to her body but i like this one. I like her skin and the fabric. Nice!

Huge mistake with the legs position but what a great character.

Hi Kevin
great Job, lots of character, the hands are a little out proportionately compared to the fingers but thats really all.
I think the legs are actually fine, as are the feet. The pose is actually spot on with some of the ones the girls at work do during the photo sessions and this is a quite a common stance in the glamour world.
Perhaps a little too glamourous for the Queen but nevertheless its normal to us dudes here at the studio. If anything give the foot arch a little more shade. Just checked your site out, nice style of 3d there too.
Is this concept and/or an exercise in painter?
Cheers

Hey people,
Thanks for the comments there. The legs have been a bit of an issue, I can see how it might catch a few people out. I need to add more shading in the leg area of the dress in order to bring the right leg MORE forward and send the left leg behind more, hopefully that will resolve the issue.
As this was my first final painting in Painter my focus was more on the actual technique etc, trying to find what works best for me, that I lost the main focus of the picture as a whole. No excuses though but lessons to be learned for the next paintings.
Thanks
Kev
