View Full Version : Batch Rendering
FusionDG 01-14-2003, 07:46 PM Hello,
I am trying to figure out the batch render option, but the manual doesn’t give much info on it.
I have seven or so cameras in one file that I would like batch rendered, but I can not select them from the batch render options for Job 1, Job 2 etc. How do I go about doing this?
TIA,
Paul

Hi
Save 7 versions of your scene with different names, each one with a different camera selected - cam1, cam2... for example. Then select each of the files using the batch renderer. Dont forget to set up the save path for each scene as a different file name!

Hi amapimaster,
Thx for the reply.
I’ll go ahead and do that.
I am surprised that C4D doesn’t’ allow you to do this by just selecting different camera names from within the same scene. Seems rather inefficient this way. Minor thing though.
Thx,

I think you can do this with a Stage object - have a look in the manual I havn't used it yet.

I also think stage object is the best for rendering with different cameras in the same scene. If you set cameras in key data of a stage object's parameter track, you couldn't manually change cameras by the command Cameras > Scene Cameras > ... in a viewport. But this can be temporarily invalidated with visible/invisible dots in the Object manager.

Thanks for the additional ideas for rendering different cameras in the same scene. I haven’t acquainted myself w/the STAGE object yet, so I’ll have to monkey around with it in the near future.
Thanks for the info!
