Title: Outside The Palace
Name: simon wright
Country: Australia
Software: Photoshop

Creating a painting entirely in photoshop can be a time consuming task. I used about 30 layers all up, but as I got closer to finishing the piece, I combined layers like all the clothes, but kept the light and shadow layers still seperate.
I'm experimenting with different brushes, but I still like the airbrush. Any advice about this piece would appreciated.
I mainly use photoshop, but would like to learn more about corel painter, I'd like get more of a traditional paint look to my work, maybe oils.

Nice contrast there and no crits about painting. One thing though, you've used plenty of black and white - mayby that blue sky isn't the best choice after all. But it's good work you've done.

Great picture, painting in Photoshop does take a heck of a long time.

My crit would be that the cloth on the character looks like plastic and should hang a bit more natural around the arms.

Cheers

Great painting technique on the girl! The sky is done really well, I like the subtle colors in it.

Looks good:thumbsup: But I say you add a tint of blue grey to the graveyard, it would balance out the backgrounda a bit more. It would make the dress stand out more at the bottom.
