View Full Version : Races of Middle Earth - Character - Dakmoden
dakmoden 01-14-2003, 07:42 PM This is my first challenge but damn what a cool challenge to start on! Seen some of the amazing things some of the folks here can do, competition will be rough. :buttrock:
I'll be box modeling in 3ds Max :airguitar my race and these are the character sheets I'll be using.
The Undar (pronounced OOndar) are a tribal race of creatures closely related to the minituar but unlike their relatives they are extremely peaceful and have a strong relationship with the earth from which they gain their magical abilities. They have confined themselves to a private life in the deepest parts of the forests, led by their shaman leaders where they feel they are free to live their lives away from the other races who fear them for their beastly appearance. They choose to ignore the going ons of the other races until the war suddenly involves the beings they so greatly respect and admire, the tree ents.
And that be it, now on to the fun parts  good luck all!

thnx alot guys. I have actually been using pictures of Arnold Swartzenager in his Mr. Olympia and Conan days, so it was actually Arnold who hit the thigh master I guess :)
Another small update, he finally has no stumps :bounce: Body is almost to the point I can start working on clothes and armor now. YAY!

Hey everyone. Been a long time since an update but this was my first time rigging a character and I finally found out what a b!tch it is! But I finaly got it to a decent stage and started to add some clothes.
And no he's not a rapper, he's going to be holding a staff in his right hand eventually :p
C&C welcome as always.
WOW this is so cool! Nice drape around his neck too! Model the staff HURRY! I think the braids need to have ends on them. Once again, great model and great character! GOGOGOGOGO!
Impressive style, very precise modeling. :applause:
I like it.
Keep it up.

cool. very cool. face has character. cool pose too.
my only critique is that the strong separation in the thighs doesn't befit the simplified forms you've given them.

Very Kickass!! I'm very looking forward to detailing! Like the knees esp, they're very well blocked (very well!) so just push it ;)
