Okay,

So it says here in my book that I ALT-LMB to move camera (or MMB or RMB), but nothing happens?!... what in the world...

I must be doing something wrong... is there some mode that I might accidentally have turned on or something?

a camera in general or the current viewport camera?

in general like any other transformation node (w,e,r)

the current viewport camera as usual - maybe your camera's rotate or translation channels are locked (greyed in the channel box)

Nevermind. As in 80% of all mistakes, it was my own ignorance.

It was Atomica, a small program that can look up words and other stuff for you that was monitoring my ALT key... and not the first time either :|
