CGTalk - Races of Middle Earth - Character

Hey, here is the first pic of my character.

His name is Tokoloshi, havnt come up with too much yet concerning his background. The one thing about the tokoloshi race thats pretty cool is that they're all cannibals, but when the group they live with are all dead & eaten, the last of the group starts eating at himself. Hence, no stomach and missing flesh everywhere.

Very cool concept indeed, it's a pretty vile looking creature, alright! I'm looking forward to seeing this guy in 3D :bounce:

FOENIX: Thanks for the advice, I'll take a look into it. The original idea was to have them look like a crocodiles eyes, so I'll check to see if that looks better.

Vertex: Thanks. I use Maya for all the 3d and Photoshop for textures. :bounce:

Hexodam: Glad you like it, I also prefer it when people do that, at least you can get a more technical view of the modeling.

Wow....great concept and I love your sketching style. :thumbsup: That face and texture are coming along gloriously. I know you are far from being done but maybe a little more specularity around the eyes and lips? Just a humble suggestion.

Hey,

Well, My Harddrive bombed on me about 2 weeks ago and I havnt been able to recover the data. I also had no backups. So basically there goes my character. Im not gonna have enough time to start over. So I guess Im pulling out.

I guess I'll have to try the next challenge.
