Image Engine is currently looking for a full time Linux System Administrator and Programmer to work with the VFX film department.
Main Responsibilities:
~ Work directly with the VFX Supervisors and Head of Technology to deploy hardware and software technologies.
~ Installation, configuration and support for various flavors of Linux on high-end workstations, servers, renderfarms and other networks.
Required Skills:
~ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
~ At least three years of experience as an administrator in a large Linux environment.
~ Must be able to demonstrate in-depth programming skills in Python, Perl and shell scripting.
~ A thorough knowlege of Linux is required, including custom kernels, compilers, threads, libraries, X systems and desktop managers.
~ Self-motivating, able to work alone and in a team under pressure.
~ Detail oriented approach and problem solving skills.
~ Ability to work well under direction, eager to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, be flexible, independent and pro-active.
