Good work.
I would change the size of the ground texture cause it makes cars look like toys.

The car texture look more like plastic than metal.. Don't seem to fit with the ground texture

Hey nice model,,,
Try something like this for a texture..
Raytrace material
Diffuse color of choice-- Red or what ever
Shine color could be a pinkiish red if the car is red
bring the shine to a sharp bright point for a nice crisp glossy look.
Reflection slot could have a mix material one with Raytrace and one with falloff and set the reflection slot to about 10 to 15 percent.
and place a white pannel in the sky with a white Illumitaed texture,, set to illuminate all of the way,,, mess with the size and placement for good results.
These settings work well with brazil too.
Well I think this what I do,, just going by memory
