I was lucky enough to attend a lecture by John Lasseter just after Toy Story opened. He was speaking at the Smithsonian in DC.

One of things he showed was his Nightmare piece from CalArts. Absolutely one the most engaging and funny animated shorts I had seen. You can really see the origins of Pixar in these shorts.

It would be great to see work like this more often. Origin pieces of some of the best talents around.

This is a great find. Great work.

cool to see the origins of his work but it makes me feel kinda better knowing that anyone, even john L could make a short that's not mindblowingly good

Am I the only one that doesn't find it super,I mean the animation was very good,but the story wasn't.And I'm not saying I can do better:D
