VERY Beautiful render!!! I love it.
Only one thing. The two halves of the orange have the exact same texture which makes it look fake.
Maybe just put one half or use a mirror image if the other half is actually the other half of that orange.
If you fix that I would like a render to put on my desktop.
peace,

Very nice picture, well done. I love the natural irregularity in the oranges shapes but obviously it is the scene setting and lighting that makes the scene come to life. I think the cut orange should probably look a little more 'wet' and the skin looks very thin too ( or perhaps thats just the dodgy oranges I have been eating :) )

the oranges skin looks a little "noisy" (maybe too much spec map?) the glass also looks pretty good, but i think its too thick. but this is really awesome. good work.

I love the mood, due to lighting!
i have two minor problems, the first is to add a displacement or some sort of a rough texture to the sliced orages. I found the flat surface too fake, have litle bits of orange here and there, i hope you understand. The second thing is more of an esthetic critique, i think you should set up the scene a bit differently, the scene isn't balanced, in my opinion. All pretty minor details, so keep up the otherwise great work!

really great work men !!!:bounce:
Nice.
One thing that bugs me though. The oranges aren't lit bright enough, so they rather tend to look brown instead of a fresh, wet orange color. It's rather well done on the glass, but I'd turn the whole light-direction so that the viewer's side is lit. In spite of the change that would be caused by that, the composition would also need a little contrast. The glass is a contrast, but try to replace the halved orange in the middle with a quartered one that let's lots of light through it's pulp. This way, the needed transparency (=fresh look) would really bring the contrast you need and let the solid oranges be a little more fruity and juicy.
Gah damn, I need a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice now, thanks man!
This looks really good. Great work!
