(not sure if this is the right forum)

I use c4d and i want a particular section of a model to have a particular matierial seperate from the rest of the model...its a panel on a larger cylinder thats extruded...how would i go about doing this?

I would ask this in the Cinema forum. In Lw I would just create a seperate surface for it, or if I wanted to use an image texture, I would create UV's for it.
