I'm trying to model a female asian head. The ref pics were used to get the proportions, and the positions of everything, right now, I'm just trying to smooth the model as much as possible, and actually make it look more feminine. Any advices would be apreciated.

Hi Al,

It'd be nice if we could see the ref pic you're using. Personally I think it looks more like a male than a female ^^" sorry...

I don't know much about anatomy, but these are some points that i think could make the model looks more feminine:

- the cheek bone is too strong, maybe softening it a bit to a plump cheek will help?
- jaw is too square, round it a little, perhaps?
- nose "bridge" is a bit too high. Asian's nose bone are usually not so high, so the tip of the nose is usually rounder.

But of course, not all of asian is like that :) Post your ref pic please :)

those are it right there. Plus I realized that this model looks a lot like my friend, so I tried to alter it a bit to match her. I'm also attaching an image of a previous version I tried to make of this char, and played around with shag: hair a little.

I'm a newbie myself, so I can't really help you with precise critiques or tips.

It looks to me that the chin is just a bit too wide. I know it's difficult to judge the width since it's not clearly visible from front or side view of the reference pics (at least not for me).

Cheek bone looks a bit funny, but I don't know what exactly.

Maybe observing your model from every angle again and again, and make small changes while you do, will help.
