View Full Version : BlendShape BumpMaps different emotions (SSS)

Hi,

I've been working on this head for about 1 year now, first head that i've ever made anyway... want to finish it soon! but i'm having problem with the bump maps that i've created for each emotion blendshape. I connect one 2dBump node to another by connecting "normal camera" --------> "Out Normal" and then i connect that 2dnode to the Bumpmap shader in the fast_skin_maya1 shader. Then i use this expression on the 2dnode that is connect to my (eye brow up) texture, "Browsout_Up_Bump.bumpdepth = clamp (0, 1, FaceShapes.BrowsOut_up * 1) the texture is put on the blendshape when i slide the blend shape slider to 1. But when i have multipule textures connect such as for my squint texture, it becomes really light (u can bearly see the texture) I have some pictures here:

This is when i put the setting in the expression up to "50"

This is just a blinn shader with color map and bump map (u can see that the bump isn't really working on the other ones)

This is an example of the squit blendshape, and u can barely see the bump map on the sides o the eye
