No, not the meat variety, but the pausey kind.
Recently, all the work I do in vertex subobject mode is really jerky. If you move the mouse to a vertex, it pauses. If you hover over the vertices it pauses. These are split second pauses, but it is really odd! (also after a while of this jerkiness, the machine freezes).

I'm using the symmetry modifier.
I'm using windows 2000
I've got 785 megs of RAM
I've got a dual 733 cpu

Any clues?

First things that pop into my mind are:

1) dense mesh, and maybe the symmetry mod is taking a bit to update

2) Running the DirectX video drivers. I've found them to be horribly (unusably) slow in wireframe mode. (screams in shaded though) Try openGL and see if there's a performance increase.

ummm..... need sleep and or more coffee, but those are my first thoughts.

Thanks Taoizm. I'll check that driver thing out (It can't be the first, cause I've only got 240 polys in the model!) My machine may just be beahiving oddly. We'll see what happens.

Nope, using openGL as I suspected. Ah well, any other suggestions?:D

hrmm, nothing off hand. If you'd like I can take a look at the scene and see if it's doing anything weird on mine. Could be a hardware issue.
