View Full Version : c4d/hair - animating hair growth.
kyriakos 06-19-2006, 05:53 PM how do you animate hair growth? in the manual it says I should set the length parameter to the maximum length and then animate it from 0 to 100% but in the timeline I can't find 'length' in the huge lists of parameters.

Use automatic keyframing, you won't have to go through that huge list.
open timeline
Enable automatic keyframing (red button with a key)
record your steps while altering the parameters.
Also in the hair shader, under length, enter a value of 0% Ctrl-Click on the circle next to the parameter name length....it will turn red, letting you know that you made a key frame, then scrub to the time that you want the hair to finish growing, enter a value of 100% and Ctrl-Click to make another keyframe....very easy and you dont even need the timeline. :)
