Paralumino Creative Studios Announced
19 June 2006

Los Angeles, California

Brian J. Pohl is proud to announce the launch of the Paralumino Creative Studios. Paralumino is a new Electric Image community based vendor and distributor dedicated to the advancement of the Electric Image Animation System in the CG and animation communities by providing new and powerful 3D plug-ins, shaders, software training and advocacy for the EIAS platform.

Pohl, a long time EIAS and Hollywood VFX veteran decided to create Paralumino out of his desire to see a more focused EIAS world community. “By providing a more unified software and training platform for EIAS, I hope to see new interest develop for the program,” says Pohl. He continues, “EIAS is a tremendous 3D application with unlimited potential. There are thousands of EIAS users worldwide that have been waiting for something like this, I just simply grew tired of waiting for someone else to do it.”

Paralumino’s goal is to unite EIAS users around the globe by providing them with a flexible distribution platform to advance and promote their software and training products to their fellow users and to potential new EIAS customers.

Paralumino’s first contractors are Igor Yatsenko, Igor Ivaniuk, and Ian Waters. The Igors are well known to the EIAS community. They have provided the EIAS community with a number of plug-ins and shaders that are appreciated by hundreds of EIAS users. Their first two Paralumino products, “Trestle and Scrim” will be announced on 19 June 2006.

Ian Waters, new media and architectural specialist, will be working with Pohl to provide and promote a new series of Electric Image training DVDs and electronic training content. Although EIAS is Paralumino’s primary focus, other software will also be highlighted in its relationship and integration with EIAS. Training products are currently in development.

“This venture will take some time to develop,” says Pohl. “However, we are confident it will be well received. Our first step is to begin offering new software products for the EIAS platform. From there we’ll expand into offering training for those products and the host program itself. Finally, we’ll open Paralumino to the public and offer it as a method for users to market their own products to the EIAS community at large. Software developers and training specialists are encouraged to contact us.”

Hi Brian,
Congratulations on Paralumino. Looking forward to Ian's training DVDs.
There's a minor typo on the Paralumino website. There's a missing 'i'. In Safari the website title reads 'Paralumno'.
