hi folks,

as stated otherwhere, i'm pretty new into 3d and max. i was just wondering, if there are any hints/tips from you guys when it comes to landscape/environment-modelling... maybe it's my fault, but how do you start when making hills, sandpits, mountains and stuff... i simple start with a plane in max, subdivide and convert it to e_mesh or poly and model since i'm fine about it, after that meshsmooth 1 or 2 times and then the polycount kills my viewports, when for example trying to rotate it... what are about NUMRS?? is it a better way to go?? just tell me your secrets..

thanks in advance,

gORDEK

and of course, again hi to all  , especiall here in the max-part of the forum, for i will now come often :)
