View Full Version : Races of middle earth - Character - RobertoOrtiz
RobertoOrtiz 01-13-2003, 08:32 PM This creature will be called: ” lhaw tem Sauroman” which means in Quenyan "Ears of Sauroman".
This one in particular is called Lár
There are the collectors of knowledge for Sauroman. They are background workers sent in, after a town, or keep has been laid to waste. Their mission is to collect all knowledge that might be interest to their master. They are weak fighters, but are extremely adept in the art of concealment and evasion. Their intelligence is above that of men, but lesser than that of an elf.
These are extremely vain creatures, that proudly carry the mark of Sauroman on their chest. They consider themselves superior to the other servants of the White Wizard. The Wizard, not being a fool, saw the possible threat they could become, so they have been created with a very limited lifespan.

That's very cool, kinda like a gobliny orcy kinda thing :)
I like the clothing and armour bits - very nice! You could add tufts of fur and stuff to that, it would look great :D

Guys thanks for the comments.
Leigh I will take your suggestion and design a cape.
Anyway, here is my design for the head.
It was inspired by the head of a Vulture.

Sorry for the lack of updates but the real world intruded.
Here is my update for my model. I am still tweaking it, but at least the basic shape is set.
I am going to add more new designs later for the clothes and the final pose. When I am done, I will use a dynamic simulation for the clothes.
I should be done with the head by Friday.

hey roberto...it's comin along nice...yah it's pretty tough mixing it all in with work..but your keepin at it:thumbsup: ...might i suggest though to shrink down the shoulder area a bit...most of your model matches up to your sketch real good, but it looks like the upper torso kind of got away from the concept...if you leave the arms alone and the bring the shoulders down to meet 'em ,and scale the same area down in the width it would look more like your sketch....my $.02 worth...anyways, lookin good
