its a little hard to tell whats going on but i like it!
Man, great stuff. So strange and moody. I'm tempted to give it five stars but there are a few things that I think could be better (hope you don't mind).
- The DOF is very strange. Blurry in the foreground, clear robot and then blurry water behind it. So far so good, but the moon in the background is as crisp as it could be. Either make the moon blurry or bring the water in the back in focus.
- The square droplet in the top is constantly catching my eye. It's distracting.
- Whenever I see and image with nuclear waste barrels floating in the water I feel like the artist just put them there to explain the crazy stuff that's going on in the image. I think it would look better if the barrel didn't have the nuclear sign on it.
I hope you find these comments useful. Good job, especially with max's scanline.

thanks for the comments ^^ !
Rens : , thanks , i will be more careful about that next times ,
anyways , does anyone know how can i make the DOF look realistic ? because i have to do it with photoshop and i dont know what exactly it has to be , i had Defocus 3.0 , but i dont know why it doesnt work well with alpha object such as the water ,...

I really want to give this five stars, so much I love about the image. Unfortunately I find it very difficult to clearly identify what is happening in the image...

When I look at this my minds eye sees this:

It seems a little bird like to me, it does not look fish like at all. I think its the angle it is bending. Can we see that character model by itself? It looks really cool but a little hard to interpret.

really nice! i definatly see a flying fish shape .you lose a lot of detail cause your bg is black and the main materials are black.
what i see when i look at this pic.
i see a state of the art robot fisch that can be used by marine as a mine or a nucluar waste tracker.wouldnt be that strange in a turblent time as we live in now.
critics.
-the tail will not displace that much water i would definatly widen the two vingers at the end.if that is the main propulsion or if you control height with it.
-maybe try a different colorscheme.i know the flying fish got a lot of reflecting green.
maybe a blackbase with some green in the spec and mirror color.
idea'
-i dont know how this thing navigate by sonar or optic camera's anyway the sea is a darkplace.maybe turn his eye's into headlights.not only does it look cool its actually a perfect spot for headlights.
-wings now only rotate on one axe lets pretend thats the x axe.i think if you alloud your wings able to rotate on the y axe (45 degree's movement) you get a much better pose.
anyway great stuff
