Watched it from IGN...WAY COOL! It's a fantastic trailer, and Raiden's combat at the end is amazing.

My 1st console of choice is no doubt the Nintendo Wii, but I think I will have to at some point (in a few years when the PS3 drops in price) get a PS3 to play that game. I loved Twin Snakes on the GameCube, & Son's of Liberty on the PS2 (going to play MGS3 soon). Those two games made me a fan of the series, and this forth one looks to continue that same great gameplay, accompanied with that captivating story telling.

Yea for real, the thing about Hideo is he really knows how to be innovative with whatever console he is working on. The orignial MGS on the nes still blows me away, and eventhough it had no pre renedered cutscenes I think that MGS1 was the most cinematic game on the playstation. My favorite game on the gameboy? Metal Gear Ghost babel. One of my favorite enemies in the mgs universe has got to be black arts viper. I would have loved to see him in one of the console games, apparantly it is set in an alternate mgs universe though.

He was like a much cooler version of liquid snake, not such a nutcase. The last battle with him is quite an emotionaly charged one, whilst fighting, he is constantly screaming about his loyalty to his fallen comrades, and how it means so much for him to beat you, he isnt really evil, like most villains. In his eyes snake and roy cambpell are the villains, (makes you feel kind of bad for defeating him. lol
His main power was hatred for snake and foxhound, he had a cancer in his body that had virtually killed all of his organs yet he lived only to get vengence on foxhound, he was also a master at setting traps.

It's about time this came out in HD.

Those Kojima Production artists are amazing, not just technically but in the character designs too. The Otacon model is phenomenal, here's hoping they do a document of MGS4.

Anyone else notice the huge difference in quality in the beginning of the trailer compared to the rest. Everything seems alot more aliased and generally lower quality after the first minute. It's still an awesome trailer but I find it strange the quality difference is so apparant. Anyone know why?
