Is there an easy way to spherize a Poly cube?

Smooth it a couple of times...
or
Turn it into a subD...
or
Deform -> Create Sculpt Deformer, scale the deformer up until it affects the whole cube...
...depends on number of divisions and stuff like that.
There's also a really nice script on Highend3D by Erick Miller, in the modelling section, called Fit Morph.mel. It lets you morph between objects with differing topology. Clever script, well worth a look.
