Hi to All

I started with Alias maya 3 months ago and now just to experiment with modelling by polys. this is my first project that I will do... an Audi TT. At the moment I only modelled the base of the model... now I´ll subdivide it and I will add the details...

A model in 360º animation is Here (http://www.3debug.com/audi_base2.avi)

Any C&C will be usefull

The model I just do it yesterday night in 45 minutes aproximately. I want to do it with detail but I need a base to start to add some details and that is the model that I made....

It´s simple at the moment but I promise that I will work on it, ok ?

C U soon... I will post more screens soon and maybe a render.

Can I ask why you chose to model an Audi TT?

There's no problems with yours but the Audi TT must be one of the most modeled cars on the planet?!!:scream:

Well...

Why an Audi TT is a good question and I don´t have the answer. I love that car... time ago I was trying to model with Lightwave but I added some detail and never finish the model but now that I´m student of maya I want to do it and finish him... nothing more...

Soon I will post new updates of the car but yes... a lot of people model this car.. I supose that is because is a smooth and simple car, no ?

New image of various views. The organization of the polygons are correct ? any modification before to add details ?

C&C will be welcome

well the front end looks very clean mesh wise but you have quite a few tris towards the back, which is never good, one thing i see is the two lines that go through the windows, along the side, should follow through and go around the back since the lines almost line up already, you just didn't connect them all the way

if you don't understand what im saying i'll ps you image a little bit

it doesn't have very much defination. If you are using maya, why not use nurbes to get nice smooth curves?

poly modeling is great with sub-d for charcter... but car = smooth and nurbes = better

Design-wise, I love the A2 (My mum drives one :) ) more than the TT. I know, most people say that the A2 series is ugly and blocky, but I love the design.

Oh yeah, the model. I like it alot, especially the front, great transition from the hood to the windscreen. Love it! :buttrock:

Audi TT is great to me....

I apply illumination.... I don´t know.... I love it I suppose... LOL

Now... my Maya chashes and I lost part of the work... I love this stuff!!!! :( Well I will do as fast as posible trying to got the same that I made before...

The solution is correct or maybe is goot too to split the center part with the same orientation in the new line ?

Ok

I remade some of the car after my maya crashes... I´m doing the initial form to later split some curves...

Enjoy
