Hi guys,

I work in the games industry as an artist and i am knocking up concept ideas in my spare time, all my ideas are going to be next gen (xbox 360, ps3) as thats all my company will work on from now on.

Now i have a Nvidia 7800 card at home and I want to do a lot of realtime shader stuff, I see that the high quality renderer does realtime shadow maps and bump maps, will this mode also display normal maps? and vertex lighting? also does anyone know of a decent realtime Skin shader? what else can the high quality render display in realtime I know a friend of mine said it could display environment maps.

Also I hear that the CG FX stuff from nvidia is quite good but how easy is this to use in maya? and how easy are the shaders to use? is there anywhere where I can download pre made shaders and replace the maps? as I dont have a lot of spare time to develop my own. Its kindda annoying because here at work (big jap games company) we have some brilliant shaders and tools for realtime display but im afraid you cant take them home as they work off of a server located on site.

Hope you guys can help
