sturmkim you have a very nice start :)
Keep posting new works every day and this will become a very nice thread ;)

Really liking this latest set ~ I think the yellowish background and the texture are adding a lot, but also your linework is quite a bit more confident with these. With the anatomy studies, try not going back over your lines quite so much, or use a lower opacity brush until you have confidently hit the right line. Looking forward to seeing more of your studies! :)
the last two ladies... i really like them..very beautiful... it was done digitally right..
if so.. i noticed when u use pencil.. your lines look sketchy..and in digital..they look smooth and confident
06-19-2006, 03:04 AM
These are really nice, I love how your line's flow. Keep workin' :)

You're welcome! :) I like the variety of work you're doing here, it's great to see how you're trying everything. :)
Regarding ballpoint pen drawing, you might find this Tutorial useful:

Hope this helps! :)

thanks rebecca. beautiful ballpoint pen drawing.. you have a hand making everything smooth...wow.
07-06-2006, 08:16 PM
Thank you! :) I really like this latest drawing of yours. Really captures the essence, and also a bit of the mood of the photograph. This is the kind of expression you really want to aim for in drawing ~ harder to make come across digitally, and so it's nice to see. :)
07-08-2006, 12:30 PM
rebecca// thanks... so i improve... that's good.
here is MyOldGoodNymphes.... update
finish up, finish up. i can do it.........
07-08-2006, 07:03 PM
The basic drawing looks great ~ I would recommend using a darker tone as a base coat, you really want to work always from dark to light. :)
I look forward to seeing your progress on this! :)

daily sketch...attempt comic style,
12-05-2006, 07:35 AM
Fantastic work! Love the little doodles you draw too. The last one composistionally is a bit flat. I think its due to the side view and not having anything between the background and foreground.
really nice headhunter concept!
so you're not thinking of adding color? :D
12-07-2006, 08:23 PM
daily sketch stuffs and testing artRage... awesome pls...love it ....will buy someday,.

Hi Sturmkim, I really like your line drawing sketches, they've got a beautiful quality to them :)
01-06-2007, 07:26 AM
well it's not anatomy..but .....
thanks for your comment roja// happy new year! and to all!
I kinda lost artistic feeling these days (hmmm do i have that?) so i'm afraid to comment or critics to others work.. that's why i just sittng here,....
thanks for who just visit my thread..anyway...
01-07-2007, 01:02 AM
really nice idea you should make mechs or a comic along that line. i like the fact that it dosent look an ordinary plane at all, it looks unique. :} is it an arieal unit or a ground land based unit?
if its air based id give it some sleek slanted sharp wings, just a thought.
01-07-2007, 01:43 AM
beserkervalk// thanks for your comment. ;->
above image is for space interceptor. so i don't think it's needed any sortof wings..
Do you have any good story?
01-08-2007, 02:54 AM
not on hand, but a pilot main character would help give this interceptor a story, or its part of a huge interspace war. or you could just model it as a standalone vechile for a game or to showcase you skills. just a thought.
01-09-2007, 09:15 AM
prespective study for vehicle.
beserkervalk// thanks for your comment again.. it is 'Enviroment Support Group' workshop in http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?p=4117876#post4117876 here!

For some reason that design looks familiar. Anyway, looks good.

02-14-2007, 09:30 AM
Hi, that piece from the OFDW looks good, I only think it could use a little more definition, but I haven't seen the original so...
nice quick portrait studies in the first page too.
02-14-2007, 11:07 AM
Hi sturmkim! beautiful work here! Love those paintings/OFDW stuff:)... suggestion about your vehicle designs: could you post bigger and more detailed pictures? they look kind of vague right now.
12-04-2007, 05:50 AM

01-29-2008, 08:53 PM
great thread  i like the picture of the woman holding a boy...reminds me of the snow queen? is it the snow queen?
i know i'm not the right one to criticise/comment but on the digital version of that drawing the woman seems to be older and her evil/ignorant smile and view are gone
i'm looking forward to seeing more of your sketches :)
01-30-2008, 06:19 AM
brainwave// hi. she should be a snow queen in narnia.. evil smile..ahhhhh...
little update for snow queen. mainly her face to get some original feeling of her..but...
01-30-2008, 04:08 PM
Hi, I immediately recognized her as the snow queen! You're doing a good job with it, even the line drawing looks nice that you first posted :)
01-31-2008, 05:19 AM
Thank you Roja
here is a update...her cloth and kid.
01-31-2008, 08:32 AM
Hi sturmkim!.. good work on the new painting. I really like the expression coming about on her face. Watch the position and shape of the ear (of both the boy and the lady) though. Also, her shoulder looks kinda broad. Whats with the hairstyle? Can you write a few words on the concept behind the painting?
02-04-2008, 07:58 AM
Heya Anandpg. Thanks for your comment. Sorry about your another comment about space-ship,,. I dont have big one now.( that time was I just left Digital art job as profession..dang)
She is White Witch from "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrob"
I got this ref-pic from google somewhere. Her hair style is reggae, I think..no idea how to finish it but.. there is no deadline anymore...hehe.
and Ear.. I try to fix it.. ear is always my weakiest point...
Here is my update...ear. kid's face tone, hair.. put some bg.
