)Hi i was forced to restart my comp after it was having problem reading my DVD drive and then it the smart installing had probs installing drivers (not so smart hey:D) any way after like the third or forth time i restarted windows xp pro decided to take me to C:\ checking of some sort which check my c:\ for stability (Note this was NOT scan disk which check for errors) and after it has finish is checking it all just stays at that page and you cant't do anything and if you cancel check it freezed at the page also. So i was wondering how do i get into windows????

I really wanna get of this old machine that's in the coldest part of the house... and into my room.

"My car is making a thump thump noise" doesn't give us much to work with.

Disconnect the DVD driveand then you should beable to start up. From there make sure the drivers are the newest avaiable and if their are any known problems with them. Then try installing them again.

There this program called Red Hat Linux that can help all problems concerning WinXP.

LOL! Yah that'll work until you want to run your most loved apps on it like most anything adobe :-(

Oh yeah.. I forgot about that.. but emulation is usuallly not goign to be very good with programs like Photoshop or After effects.
