ooooooooo me likes

Yeah wot renderer and what pc specs and render times.

Be nice to see a quick camera ani. Or another view.

Light is very nice and realistic. Please tell me used some sort of indirect illimnation technique - or are you a clever basstard who used 50 lights to pull this off?

wow, add a bit of film grain and anyone would have mistaken that as a photo!

good work!

Thanks for the comments!!!

I used Brazil RS in a P4 1500 with 512 MB.

There is only 1 Direct light in the scene (+skylight). The frame time was 56 min.

you did a really good job on this one............can we see the photo?

also, if you have the time could render out a wireframe of the scene?

The Time Serpent:
The pillar apparantly has (earlier) acted as a support for the vaulted ceiling. You can see the remaining ruings of something that looks like a vaulted ceiling, out from the walls.
That is my guess.

Looks very nice.
If you put more work in the column and the step under the door. This would be perfect.

Peace,

looks good but a tab fake...yea the pillar really makes it look wierd. its a 'perfect' pillar....not even some edge of it thats broken apart from old age... or cracks .... change the pillar.... or like put half 1/10th of the pillar standing and, the rest of the pillar on the ground, with rubble and small piecies / chunks laying near by....

i not only think that would make the render better overall,
but i think it would make it interesting and set a emotion to the image..... a history to it...

It not only looks like it is based on a real photo it looks like a real photo! I've seen your other fantastic work before though so no wireframe is required for me :)

Excelent work, a real subject change from the images I have seen you produce before, incredibly detailed I love the work in the broken rock.

No real critisisms just my congradulations.
