you've got a great start here. just a couple things i noticed though.
MOdel looks good. the hands seem a little small for the body. but I like the style.
as far as animation goes. the legs seem to be pretty good. the upper body is a little stiff
let's see some weight shift when he takes those two real quick steps before the jump. shift right to left as well as lean forward for balance. the animation cuts off before I can see the full landing , but I'm assuming you'll continue that momentum forward for a step or two.
one last thing. the time in the air seems ackward. it seems like he travels slow jumping up, but then greatly accelerates on the way down., it's TOO dramatic of a difference. but I'm thinking that it may just APPEAR that way because of the camera angle.
these are just some finishing touches ideas for you to think about. it's looking good.

Yes I was going to say similar things although the cycles are a good start they need to be more natural, they look a little robotic at the moment. Also the transition between the steps is too sharp its slow - slow - quick - quick -slow :) where I think each cycle needs a little more acceleration to make the transition more smooth, the jump itself looks good though.

Okey, so here is an update 2.3 meg in size:
avi compressed with latest Divx (http://digi-port.net/h3rbie/game_wips/capture4.avi)
Before this cutscene the game is upscrolling platform game. When he reach the top he meets a sorcorer which gives him the ability to fly. Im not going to add much more geomtry in the scene, we only have two weeks left and i want to b sure i have time to render out the scene, probobaly going to add better fog in the bottom of the scene tho, now its just transparent planes. The particles you see coming out of his feets will b coloured as the rainbow to add more colors to the scene.
Critz and comments are very welcomed!
