Hey there,

A friend of mine is throwing a little entertainment industry shindig at Cinespace in Hollywood. It's free, will be fun, and cool people like me will be there :) Some of my co-workers and some friends from Dreamworks are meeting me there too, so let's get some more CG representation and have some fun.

Here is the official info

Cinespace has been gracious enough to offer us a large space and plenty of perks every other Thursday night for Cinespace*'*s Industry Night Entertainment Mixers* (a new bi-monthly event!)*. The first event, which will be held on June 15, 2006, is set to be lots of fun! In addition to drink specials, limited appetizers, and free dessert to event attendees, Cinespace Entertainment Industry Nights promise to be an excellent opportunity for business/relationship networking, and you might even win a free dinner!

And the best part? It*' *s all FREE! There*'*s no cover to get into the event, and the only charges you incur are on whatever you choose to purchase on your own (but with appetizers, desserts, and cheap drinks--the night won*'*t exactly break the bank!).

So bring your business cards and come on out to Cinespace next Thursday for some fun, relaxation, and FREE networking to form business and professional relationships to last your whole career through!

Crap. Got held up at the office a bit, then random household chores delayed me.. by the time I get there, it'd be like 9:30. Maybe next time.

Yeah, I'd like to check out the next one but could use a bit more advanced notice too. Cinespace is a cool place if you can get the right crowd in there. Any plans to make use of their big screen to show off people's work? Or just an hours-long montage of cool animation and FX? :D

Cinespace is 21+, I believe.

As you may have guessed, I look very little like my avatar.

It was a fun event and it would be great to see more of you guys out there.

Just so you know though, it's not only VFX it's directors and producers and actors and anyone relating to entertainment, but that makes for a more interesting adn diverse crowd.

If you have suggestions the girl running it, Tiffiny, is always up for suggestions and help. She's super smart, enthusiastic, cute and a Star Wars dork to boot, so how cool is that?
