View Full Version : Races Of Middle Earth - character - Leszek
Leszek 01-13-2003, 10:56 AM Hi,
This is my first challenge and first post on this forum,so hello everybody
Really fast concept, classical sketch coloured in photoshop.
The race is called menel-kir in elvish, which means "sky splitting";) .
Old race of humanoid like creatures with wings growing out of their back, brutal and intelligent.
Known for their blitz raids on caravans heading towards south part of Harad.
Living in packs, up to ten individuals led by strongest person in the group.

Finally got some time to work on this one, so here is a side view and a model.
I am trying to block out the entire figure , and it's hard for me to resist not to add details in this stage.
This is my first model in MAYA, and about week messing with this soft so its gonna be a rough ride:buttrock:

Hi Guys!
Very busy learning maya, didnt suppose its that tough.
Still far from end, but this is what I can show you at the moment.
Some areas needs improvment like forearms, elbows, calf also tigh's back side, which I am not happy with.
Feel free to crit anything.

Big thanks for your reply m@, you are doing great job with your ape
Ok here are wings.Lets say beta version of 'em, just to give an overall impression of how it would look like, so any comments and suggestions are welcome.
Wings are flat yet, I am going to pose it during rigging process.

I think wings should be placed higher: use shoulder and back muscles to move them, should look better (he has nicely developed upper torso, so why not?)
