Hi! This is my first post, although I've been visiting for a while. So much inspiring work on this forum, it's great to be a part of it!

I actually tried to post this a few days ago, but it never came up, so I must have done something wrong. Here goes...

I used to work mostly in vector, but I'm making the switch to a more digital painting style, and I thought I'd post a few WIPs for critique...right now I'm mostly concerned about teqnique and workflow, but any thoughts anyone cares to share would be greatly appreciated.

Here's one that I did a few days ago...

and here's a few steps of a portrait I'm working on now...

I realize it would be better if I fill in a background color first, I'll get to that tonight...
...oh, and I havent' gotten around to her left hand yet. She just has a stump for now.

Thanks for checking this out, and thanks for a great forum to join!

I like the laughing girl, very alive. Maybe you should remove some of the hard lines, not all, but they seem to make it more harsh. Dunno... :)
